Our Head Office is in Guildford. The lovely county town of Surrey. Not actually the home of Ford Prefect (read the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy), but the home of Lewis Carroll (or Charles Dodgson), scenes from the charming "Omen" film, low crime rates and expensive shops. Oh - and most importantly the Cyclists Touring Club (see www.ctc.org.uk ). And the North Downs Way. There’s probably some other stuff to do round here, but the CTC is really the most important.
We're in the centre of Guildford on a small road which is very unfriendly to cars and especially unfriendly to large lorries... best to follow signs to town centre and then look for car parks. Don’t forget to bring some change for the car parks!
The nearest ones are signposted when you get to
the town centre of Guildford:
Millbrook
Castle Car Park
Others which are not too far away are Millbank,
Leapale Road and Bright Hill.
See
maps below. We keep bike locks on site and can secure your bike for you. Or there’s a few bike parking spaces just round the corner on the High Street. You’re guaranteed a cuppa and an hour long debate on the benefits and disadvantages of GPS systems. Possibly even a spare inner tube and some help adjusting that troublesome rear mech.
By train
Go to Guildford main station (not London Road) and see the maps above. We're about a 10 minute walk away. Train timetables - http://www.travelinesoutheast.org.uk/
