English and Frisian share many similarities, as
evidenced by the old rhyme "Bread, butter and
green cheese/ Is good English and Good Fries."
Or in Frisian "Brea, bûter, en griene tsiis is
goed Ingelsk en goed Frysk". The two are pronounced
nearly identic
