The Hindi language
An
interesting fact about Hindi:
As a result of different influences, Hindi is written in the Devanagari script and takes a good deal of its vocabulary from Sanskrit, while Urdu (the language of neighbouring Pakistan) is written in the Persian script and draws a great deal of its vocabulary from Persian and Arabic. The two languages also differ in relatively minor ways in their sound system and grammar. Hindi and Urdu have a common colloquial form, called Hindustani. |

Our Hindi linguists
As well as being qualified and tested linguists all our Hindi translators and interpreters sign up to our code of conduct which governs expected quality levels and ensures confidentiality. In addition, our database keeps track of all their specialist areas so we can find exactly the right person for your assignment.
Hindi translation
For Hindi translations, Geo works with qualified, expert translators. All our Hindi translators are professionals translating into their mother tongue. Normally they will live in the country where the target language is spoken so that they remain up to speed with the language and culture. The only time this doesn’t work is if the translator is required to have knowledge about a linguistic community outside the target culture... for instance if our Hindi translator who is based in the target country might not have the necessary understanding or terminology to translate a document for the Hindi community in the UK dealing with UK bodies and concepts..e.g. the Financial Ombudsman or the NHS. In these instances Geo works with qualified Hindi translators in the UK to use the correct, established terminology. See our translation section for more information on Hindi translation or have a look at our industries section. If you need help with back translation from Hindi, then we also have a great database of validated, high quality translators to meet your needs.
Hindi interpreting
Geo has an extensive database of great people for Hindi interpreting. Our Hindi interpreters are selected for their expertise, knowledge of specialist areas, friendly professional attitude and consistently good feedback. See our interpreting section for more information on Hindi interpreting or have a look at our industries section.
Hindi typesetting
Typesetting in different languages can be tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing. Hyphenation rules change. Fonts sometimes aren’t supported in some design packages. Some languages read left to right (like English), others (like Arabic) read right to left. Hindi is no different, but you can rest assured that we can help you. See our typesetting section for more information on Hindi typesetting or have a look at our industries section.
Hindi media services
Geo can even offer Hindi voice-overs, Hindi dubbing, Hindi audio and video recording s and Hindi subtitling. See our media services section for more information or have a look at our industries section.
