The Oriya language
An
interesting fact about Oriya:
The Oriya script is an abugida written from left
to right. Abugida is a type of writing system
in which each character represents a consonant
followed by a specific vowel, and the other vowels
are represented by a modification of the consonant
symbols.

Our Oriya linguists
As well as being qualified and tested linguists all our Oriya translators and interpreters sign up to our code of conduct which governs expected quality levels and ensures confidentiality. In addition, our database keeps track of all their specialist areas so we can find exactly the right person for your assignment.
Oriya translation
For Oriya translations, Geo works with qualified, expert translators. All our Oriya translators are professionals translating into their mother tongue. Normally they will live in the country where the target language is spoken so that they remain up to speed with the language and culture. The only time this doesn’t work is if the translator is required to have knowledge about a linguistic community outside the target culture... for instance if our Oriya translator who is based in the target country might not have the necessary understanding or terminology to translate a document for the Oriya community in the UK dealing with UK bodies and concepts..e.g. the Financial Ombudsman or the NHS. In these instances Geo works with qualified Oriya translators in the UK to use the correct, established terminology. See our translation section for more information on Oriya translation or have a look at our industries section. If you need help with back translation from Oriya, then we also have a great database of validated, high quality translators to meet your needs.

Oriya typesetting
Typesetting in different languages can be tricky if you don’t know what you’re doing. Hyphenation rules change. Fonts sometimes aren’t supported in some design packages. Some languages read left to right (like English), others (like Arabic) read right to left. Oriya is no different, but you can rest assured that we can help you. See our typesetting section for more information on Oriya typesetting or have a look at our industries section.
