The Ukrainian language
An
interesting fact about Ukrainian:
Surzhyk is a language spoken by ca. 20% of Ukraine.
It combines Ukrainian grammar and pronunciation
with mainly Russian vocabulary and the word Surzhyk
literally translates as "multigrain flour

Ukrainian translation
For Ukrainian translations, Geo works with qualified, expert translators.
All our Ukrainian translators are professionals translating into their
mother tongue. Normally they will live in the country where the target
language is spoken so that they remain up to speed with the language
and culture. The only time this doesn't work is if the translator
is required to have knowledge about a linguistic community outside
the target culture... for instance if our Ukrainian translator who
is based in the target country might not have the necessary understanding
or terminology to translate a document for the Ukrainian community
in the UK dealing with UK bodies and concepts..e.g. the Financial
Ombudsman or the NHS. In these instances Geo works with qualified
Ukrainian translators in the UK to use the correct, established terminology.
See our translation section for more information on Ukrainian translation

Ukrainian typesetting
Typesetting in different languages can be tricky if you don't know
what you're doing. Hyphenation rules change. Fonts sometimes aren't
supported in some design packages. Some languages read left to right
(like English), others (like Arabic) read right to left. Ukrainian
is no different, but you can rest assured that we can help you. See
our typesetting
section section for more information on Ukrainian typesetting
or have a look at our industries
section.
Ukrainian media services
Geo can even offer Ukrainian voice-overs, Ukrainian dubbing, Ukrainian
audio and video recording s and Ukrainian subtitling. See our media
services section for more information or have a look at our industries
