Get the best of both worlds
Take advantage of the latest AI technology to speed up your processes and repurpose your budget for the parts of translation that matter most. Depending on your project, we have three approaches to using AI:
Hybrid AI-aided translation.
AI translation with two-step human editing and review, which brings it up to a standard nearly equivalent to a human translator. The AI creates a first draft. Our experts take care of the rest. They’ll review the text against the original, refine the terminology, check everything is accurate, and make sure it’s perfect. Best for regulated or published content.
AI-aided translation with light editing.
The AI does the heavy lifting; an expert translator does a single pass to edit and make sure it’s accurate and clear. Ideal for internal documents, high-volume content, and fast turnaround projects.
Bring your own.
Got your own AI translation and want us to get one of our expert translators to review, or our team to check the quality of the translated text? We’ll work as an expert reviewer and bring our expertise and knowledge to your process.
Bring human ingenuity and AI productivity together.
Drive efficiency through technology
Translating vast amounts of text is time-consuming for a single linguist. Whether that’s a vast catalogue of product descriptions, lengthy technical documentation, or thousands of hours of in-game dialogue. Using AI, we can shave off days, weeks, or even months.
Trained on your preferences
We feed in your terminology, style, and industry knowledge to make sure our AI knows your preferences. That way, it can adapt to changes, keep your translations consistent across vast amounts of content and evolve with your business. Our AI can adjust your text for formality or inclusivity, make sure you’re using the correct terminology, adapt for local variants, optimize for SEO, and much more.
Keep your translations confidential
We train your AI model on your text, and your text alone. And your information will never be fed into a public database. So get all the benefits of AI generation, with none of the risks of online services. Keep your IP safe. Avoid accidental plagiarism. Build your own AI model.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
How confident can we be in AI translation output?
Confidence depends on the workflow, not the AI. Raw AI output (no human review) is unsuitable for almost any business use case — it contains the omission, false-friend and hallucination errors typical of MT, and it has no accountability. Properly post-edited AI output, by a qualified subject-matter linguist, against a client termbase, with independent QA, can be as accurate as fully human translation for the right content types.
-
Can Geo Language Services build a new AI engine?
Where the volume and content profile justify it, yes — we work with engine builders and partners to develop domain-adapted engines for specific clients and verticals. For most clients, the better economic answer is engine selection (choosing the right pre-trained domain engine from the available stack) plus client-specific termbase and post-editing, rather than full custom engine training.
-
Will expert linguists review AI output?
Always, on any project we deliver. AI is a productivity tool that requires qualified human linguists to verify, correct, refine and sign off the output. We do not deliver raw AI output as a finished translation, even when clients ask for the cheapest option — the risk profile is wrong, and the long-term cost (rework, errors, brand damage) outweighs the short-term saving.
-
Will AI workflows reduce translation costs?
For the right content, yes — depending on language pair, content type and quality requirements. The saving comes from reduced linguist time per word, not reduced quality. For content where AI is not appropriate, an AI-aided workflow may not save cost or time — we recommend honestly per project rather than applying AI as a default.
-
Can AI be trained on style as well as terminology?
To a degree. Style transfer in MT is less mature than terminology adaptation, but engines can be trained on a corpus of approved client content to nudge output toward a particular register or tone. The most reliable path to consistent style is still expert linguist post-editing against a client style guide — the engine helps with throughput, the linguist secures the style.
