Saraiki or Seraiki is an Indo-Aryan language that is a member of the Indo-European language group. Other branches of the Indo-European language group include Celtic, Germanic and Balto-Slavic to name but a few.
There are about 20 million speakers of Saraiki in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It was until recently considered a dialect of Pakistani Punjabi.
In Pakistan, Saraiki is written from right to left with Shahmukhi script, which is similar to Arabic script, and in India it is written with Devanagari script, from left to right. Saraiki is mutually intelligible with Punjabi.
