Telugu is one of six classical languages of India. It has its own numbering system, although it is not widely used, as Arabic numerals are more common.
Telugu words used to all end in a vowel, which caused a 16th century Venetian explorer to refer to Telugu as “the Italian of the East”… but these days you might find a consonant added to end of the word.
Telugu is a member of the Dravidian language group spoken mostly on the southern and south eastern parts of India, whereas as the majority languages in northern and north-eastern India are part of the Indo-European language group.
