Subtitles & voice-overs

Multilingual subtitles and voice-overs to reach a broader audience

Videos. e-Learning. Games. Whatever you’ve made, bring your audiovisual content to new audiences fast. We have a full range of human and AI-aided transcription, subtitling and voice-over services.

Video and audio – whether it’s a podcast or public health campaign – is becoming increasingly important. There are how-to tutorials to onboard new customers, eLearning for your employees, or videos of shareholder meetings that you need to distribute internationally. With our team of voice-over artists, subtitling experts, translators and in-house AI-expertise, we can make sure that everybody hears your message.

Record every detail

Our expert team of transcribers can capture all the details of your audio or video. Or head over to our in-house platform and gain access to multiple AI tools to automatically transcribe videos, format subtitles, and translate text into multiple languages. We know which AI works best with your project.

Drive efficiency through technology. Generate AI voiceovers in no time. Our team are masters in programming Speech Synthesis Markup Language (SSML), so we can make sure your AI voices can customise pronunciations, add emphasis and pauses, and get timings right.

Add that human touch. We’ve curated a database of human voiceover artists across a range of languages – at comparable rates to AI. Or do you need a recognisable voice? We can point you to the confident narrator, welcoming guide, or charming character actor that suits your content.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can Geo Language Services burn in subtitles?

Yes. We deliver subtitles as separate timed files (SRT, VTT, TTML, EBU-STL) for upload to your platform, or as burnt-in (open caption) versions where the subtitles need to be permanently encoded into the video. Burnt-in subtitles are typical for content distributed across platforms that don’t support separate subtitle files, or where access to the underlying file isn’t possible.

  • Can Geo Language Services translate any audiovisual content?

Yes. We translate corporate video, training and eLearning content, broadcast content, social media video, podcasts and audio, conference and event recordings, and healthcare and patient-facing video. Subject specialism is matched to content — a medical training video and a brand campaign need different linguists, even when the technical workflow is similar.

  • Can we hear different voice talent options before choosing?

Yes. We supply voice samples in the target language and tone profile, and you choose. For larger or recurring projects we shortlist by gender, age range, accent and delivery style, and hold preferred talent for consistency across a campaign, training programme or series. All voice talent is professional and works under appropriate usage and broadcast rights agreements.

  • Can we run our own QA in the subtitling software?

Yes. Where you want to review subtitles in your own subtitling tool or editing environment before delivery, we provide the project files in your preferred format and integrate your feedback into the final deliverable. For larger programmes we can also set up a shared review workflow with version control and comment tracking.

  • In which formats can subtitles and voice-overs be delivered?

Subtitles: SRT, VTT, TTML, EBU-STL, SCC, SUB, ITT and others. Voice-overs: WAV (broadcast quality), MP3, AAC, AIFF and platform-specific delivery formats. We deliver in the formats your platform, editor or broadcaster requires, and provide split tracks (dialogue, music, effects) where the post-production workflow needs them.
